I'm learning Access, and understand that the form feeds the table, but I would like to open the form "from" the table. Hello, I am not a complete novice, but I recently have been offered to design/build a website from nothing, and I need step by step instructions. Hello,I hope I can make this make sense... I am an instructor for a business which employs about 1500 people. The people are required to take recertification trainings yearly. I keep the people who sign up for the trainings on an excel spreadsheet. (I offer multiple times and dates for the trainings). What is happening is that the spreadsheet is just too big now. I want to create a database with a form that has 12 fields and a couple thousand entries, which can be used on one ~5yr old desktop computer running Windows XP. It's been about 15 years since I used any database software, so all my knowledge on the subject is a little fuzzy. I tried downloading a trial version of MS Access 2007, but it won't let me create a file, so I can't really play with it, and I certainly am not going to spend hundreds of dollars on a piece of software that I don't know I like. (And really, all things considered, I'd rather not spend hundreds of dollars at all.) Ideally, I'd like to find something simple (I don't need frills) but at least moderately user friendly. I'm trying to download clip art from Microsoft's online clip art gallery. I make my selections, and download them. It downloads them as a special file (labeled a "Microsoft Clip Gallery Database") onto my desktop. When I click on this file, I am told "Clip Gallery can only be launched from Office". I've tried looking up the special instructions for Mac users on Microsoft's website. They give me some instructions that only apply to those who use browsers that I don't have (Internet Explorer and Netscape). I don't really want either of these browsers, I'm a Firefox user. Hi. I developed a database (MSAccess) and instead of going into companies locations and installing it, I am looking to sell it (downloadable version) online, by taking credit card details and then sending users to a downloadable screen (where they can download a demo or the full product). Has anyone done this, and are there anythings I should consider when selling custom MS Access databases - such as are there prebuilt websites for selling software I can use - and do I need to buy the XP Development edition where I can control beforehand how the user sets up the download and where I can distribute the db engine etc?
